Topic: Once

Once is an inflection of the word One, that means: one time.

(To get more information about the number One, see: 1.)

An example of the word "once" being used in a sentence is....

Joe feel down only once.

This could be equivalently said with the non-inflected form (replacing "once" with "one time") as....

Joe feel down only one time.
Once, Twice, Thrice

The word "once", has two related words: "twice" and "thrice".

And they go in the series: Once, Twice, Thrice.

(This means: one time, two times and three times.)

If you want to go past this series, then it goes as: once, twice, thrice, four times, five times, six times, seven times,....

(There are no inflections of this kind, in English, for any other numbers, that I know of.)
