HTML i Element

The HTML i Element -- <i> -- is an HTML Element used to change the formatting of text to make it italicized.

  I am <i>so</i> great.

The HTML address Element is available in: HTML 2, HTML 3, HTML 3.2, HTML 4, XHTML 1, and XHTML 1.1.


The HTML i Element has no HTML attributes.


There also exists a CSS command that can format text in the same way that is default for the HTML i Element:

  font-style : italic;

For example, one could use this as:

  I am <span style="font-style:italic;">so</span> great.
