Topic: Bah Bah Black Sheep
-- Mirza Charles Iliya Krempeaux
Bah Bah Black Sheep is a Song I was taught and sung when I was a child.
(The earliest I remember hearding it was when I was in Preschool in Port Moody -- in PoMo.)
There's suppose to be a number of versions of it, but the version I heard was:
Baa Baa black sheep
Have you any wool?
Yes Sir! Yes Sir!
Three bags full.
One for the master,
One for the dame,
One for the little boy
Who lives down the lane.
I heard once that Black Sheep were used to count the number of Sheep in a Flock. 1 out of every 100 sheep was a black sheep. (The rest were White Sheep.)
I think this may have had something to do with the meaning. (Although I'm not sure.)
